CONNECTICUT STATE CONFERENCE OF NAACP BRANCHES RESPONDS TO FOX NEWS STATION ANIMATION CARTOON

Scot X Esdaile, President of the Connecticut State Conference of NAACP Branches has called for all individuals throughout the state to join with the NAACP affiliates for a press conference to be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at 4:30 p.m. at the Fox News Station (Channel 61), One Corporate Center, Hartford, Connecticut.

President Esdaile stated that he is appalled by the depiction of newly elected President Barack Obama and the signing of the Stimulus Bill as a “Dead Chimpanzee being shot by two Police Officers” in the New York Post editorial.  He stated that this type of subliminal depiction and biased coverage of the newly elected President would not be tolerated. 

President Esdaile is calling on the wider community to come out and support the Press Conference on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, wherein a letter expressing the Connecticut State Conference of NAACP Branches and other groups displeasure with the animated cartoon and what he describes the half-hearted apology of Mr. Rupert Murdock and his Editor-in-Chief.
