2007 Juneteenth Parade and Festivities

The Norwich Branch NAACP hosted their 19th annual Juneteenth Celebration at Howard T Brown Park in downtown Norwich on Saturday the 16th of June, 2007.

The event began with a parade at 10:00 am from the AME Zion Church located at One McKinley Avenue, and ended at Brown Park.

The festivities began at 11:00 am. There was entertainment for all ages. Food and craft vendors were there and the Backus Health Van conducted health screenings.

Visitors danced to the sounds of DJ Dvyne from 12:00pm-3:00pm and then to soulful sounds of CL Connections from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
