The Robertsine Duncan NAACP Youth Council is a unit of the NAACP in which the youth are actively involved in. The Youth Council is composed of hundreds of youth volunteers who share their voices or opinions to address issues that are local, national and international.
Current Youth and College Campaigns are: The Stop Campaign, Upload 2 Uplift and Vote Hard, End Campus Racism, Young, Black and Secure and NAACP 100 Remix.
The Robertsine Duncan Youth Council was started in 1999 and named after Mrs. Robertsine Duncan, the first Youth Advisor and dedicateded volunteer to helping youth in the City of Norwich. The Robertsine Duncan Youth Council is dedicated to assisting youth in the City of Norwich with addressing the Disparities in Education, Health and the Criminal Justice System. In addition, the Robertsine Duncan Youth Council engages youth in understanding the local, state and federal political process and ending racism.
